More from the girls who seem to be getting on quite well at Roselle during their event management internships!

Name: Kelly Huijs

Length of internship: Five months

Office: Edinburgh

Born and raised: I was born and raised in Venlo, Netherlands. I love Venlo and go back home on weekends to see my friends and family while I’m studying in Nijmegen.

University: I study Communication at HAN, University of Applied Sciences, Arnhem Business School. (Nijmegen, Netherlands)

Favourite aspect of event planning: My favourite aspect of event planning is being part of the creative process from the idea to execution. I just love organising and multitasking my way through all aspects of events.

Favourite type of event to plan: All of them!

Why Roselle?: I always wanted to work with an events company to see how I might enjoy organising full-time... and I love it! Roselle seemed like the perfect place for me to learn because everyone is so driven and nice. I cannot wait to see how much I will learn in the next five months!

Favourite memory of Roselle so far: Everyone is so helpful! Coming from the Netherlands, it’s very hard to understand accents sometimes, and it’s so nice to have help from everyone in the office. I am already looking forward to the memories I will make in the future though!

Name: Ellen Cusiter

Length of internship: One month

Office: Aberdeen

Born and raised: I was born in Aberdeen but have grown up in Stonehaven.

Favourite aspect of event planning: My favourite aspect of event planning is the busyness, the rush, also the stress and excitement there is. I think it’s amazing how every day in the office is different.

Favourite type of event to plan: I haven’t been here long enough to really say but even watching the team plan something is fun. Being involved in a small part of their vision is awesome.

Why Roselle?:  It’s scary how much I love organising and although a lot of people find it super strange, Roselle put it to good use. I was keen to jump into something hectic and I’m glad I have because so far love it!. Roselle is a very friendly company and I love the fact everyone works so closely together and actually cares about one another. It’s just a fab company to be part of.

Favourite memory of Roselle so far: The team! Everyone works really hard but is able to have a laugh and some fun too. It’s a friendly office to be in and I’ve loved how comfortable they’ve made me feel in such a short space of time.
