This annual dinner dance has to be surprising and different every year. This year our client was inspired by movies such as Grease and American Graffiti and so Roselle set to work to create an event along this theme.
670 guests/Annual Staff Dinner Dance/ Elvis /AECC, Aberdeen / 1950’s/ Cream Sundaes
The stage set was designed to look like a drive-in movie theatre with flashing light bulbs surrounding the coming attractions. Tables were dressed diner style with coloured linen and red lamp centres which created an atmospheric glow. Guests were wowed when the desert was brought out. Fantastic ice cream sundaes served in tall sundae glasses complete with long spoon, whipped cream and a cherry on top!
Entertainment was provided by 1950’s style singers and rock ‘n’ roll dancers complete with dirndl skirts and ankle socks. They sang and danced to songs from Grease and rock hits such as ‘Rock Around the Clock’, ‘Why do Fools Fall in Love’ and ‘Wake Up Little Susie’. The show finished with a set from none other than The King of Rock and Roll himself, Mr Elvis Presley.
By that time the guests were itching to get up on the dance floor and dance the night away.
